Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
We have an immediate need for a Records Manager for a project located in Beltsville, MD. The qualified candidate must have extensive understanding and experience in all phases of life cycle records management, will be responsible for leading and developing Records Management programs, outline file plans (taxonomies), draft Records Control Schedules, and oversee the performance of records inventories. In addition, the Records Manager will support the transition of Federal Agencies' RM programs from paper-based environments to electronic ones and direct and support the automation of manual processing of regulatory and non-regulatory records.
Skills and Abilities Required: 
In order to achieve these objectives, the qualified candidate will provide expertise in RM-related analysis, storage requirements, records retention and disposition, digitization, RM-related training, capturing and sharing collective RM knowledge of the organizations, promoting and supporting organization-wide compliance with Federal RM requirements, and development and implementation of efficiencies that will result in faster delivery of information.
Minimum Education and Experience Required: 
The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years professional records management experience. A Certified Records Manager (CRM) a plus. Additionally, the qualified candidate will possess expertise and understanding of the Federal recordkeeping requirements, and knowledge of various electronic recordkeeping practices including but not limited to, email management, digital imaging, cloud storage, and social media.
